Short description

Rob the graves of the rich after curfew. Dig with your friends, which is loud, in a cemetery that listens... A first-person co-op horror heist for 1–4 players, set in a 1947 where the plague never ended.

The story

Grave Benders is a first-person co-op horror heist for one to four players, and the first game from Nullsmith Interactive. It is set in an alternate 1947 England where the plague never ended. The players are demobbed Sanitary Corps plague doctors who rob the graves of the rich after curfew.

Each job is one night at one of five burial grounds: St. Brannoc's, an old flint church in the pine woods; Holloway Necropolis, a city of the dead on the hill above the port, with locked family vaults; Gallows Hill War Cemetery, where an Army searchlight rakes the war graves; Quarantine Island, plague pits a mile out over a tidal causeway; and the Undercroft, a catacomb under a burnt chapel, where the brethren of the Lodge keep their seats, dead or not.

Digging is loud. The night watch listens for footsteps, shovels, dropped loot and the crew's own voices, and the restless dead give small signs before they rise, a whisper or a lamp that stutters. Whatever the crew gets into the van by first light, a fence will buy. Anyone left behind costs $1,500 in bail.

The longer story is on the game's page.
